Ron Buchanan is CISO, Blue Ridge Bank. Prior to his role at Blue Ridge Bank, Mr. Buchanan was Senior Vice President of Information Security at Atlantic Union Bank. Ron’s career in the financial sector includes all aspects of security including incident response, cyber investigations, data protection, eDiscovery, threat intelligence, network & endpoint security
Ron has a BS in Business Management & Finance from Northeastern University and a Master of Science in Information Assurance from Norwich University. Ron has obtained certifications as a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), and EnCE (Encase Certified Examiner). Ron serves on the Advisory Board of the Virginia Cyber Security Partnership.
