MACH37 Presentations

Bud Roth is the Managing Director – Cyber for MACH37 and is also the in-house cybersecurity expert for VentureScope. He has served as the Non-Resident Fellow for Cybersecurity at Sasakawa USA since January 2016, bringing with him a combination of investigative, legal, and cybersecurity expertise. He is also the President of ISSA-NOVA.

Bud has served as a SME and advisor on cybersecurity matters ranging from security audits to security strategies for businesses. He was the head of curriculum development at a cybersecurity startup, HackEd that was acquired in 2018. In addition to teaching, Bud has experience developing training content for students aspiring to be pentesters and SOC analysts.

Bud will introduce the MACH37 Spring 2019 cohort. Each cohort member will make a brief presentation concerning their product or service:

  • Aryia Technology – Blockchain technology with a focus on privacy
  • DefiniSec – Managing cybersecurity threats to application data and email
  • FortMesa – Security methodology focusing on behavioral and security economics
  • MalWork – Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) for small to medium sized businesses Simuna Infosec – Focused on cybersecurity testing & helping organizations be securre
  • Quirk A.I. – Providing business intelligence to connect to enterprise applications.

Records Management

Under the authority of the Virginia Public Records Act, the Records Management section at the Library assists state and local government in ensuring that public records are maintained and available throughout their life cycle. Records Management supports the efficient and economical management of public records by publishing records retention and disposition schedules, presenting workshops, monitoring the disposal of non-permanent records, and assisting with the transfer of permanent records to the Archives.

Driving Directions from Downtown Richmond (approx. 20 miles):
Take 95S to Route 10 (EXIT 61A-Hopewell VA10 EAST / just past 288)
Go east on Route 10 (travel 3 miles)
Take a left at the second light onto River’s Bend Boulevard
After you cross over 295, the road narrows to two lanes. Take the first right onto Meadowville Lane. Proceed to the end of the road and you will see CESC
